DODOS AND DADAS

When you have a relatively long artistic trajectory, is interesting to observe in which ways the recovery of our direction come into being, returns to old themes.
In the same way that we come across a geographic place we haven´t visited for years, by coming back to the place we can find it untouched, destructed or modified, but in any case, our look will be different, transformed by all our experience accumulated between periods.

All that talk is to arrive here and now, in today and in what I am creating at the this moment, it sends me to a time behind, to be specific, exactly 25 years ago, when I idealized, cut, sewed and stuffed a cloth doll (or should we call a softy sculpture).
It was the first Dada, it turned to be an excellent “alive” model in the drawing lessons at the university.

To shorten this history, today it is an young adult with 25 years and this is the accurate age that I had when I created it. Now I know that what I made at that time is called toy art and are the toys that many artists and designers are dedicated to produce for a mainly adult public. What I show here is the result of an overwhelming immersion in this universe of toys, that grabbed from the month of April of 2007 and practically "forced" me to become available dozens of dolls suddenly. A passion that takes me all time available, the ideas gushing out in a overflow. The result is there, with you...Dodos and Dadas!
Have fun.
